Mount Iremel

Mount Iremel - the epitome of the South Urals beauty - is the place extremely popular with tourists. In spite of the elevation of 1,582 metres, the number of those who wish to climb it grows from year to year.
Iremel is one of the highest and most beautiful mountains of the Southern Urals, which Bashkirs considered earlier as a sacred mountain. It is located near the upper reaches of the river Belaya (Agidel in Bashkir language).
Mount Iremel has two peaks - Big Iremel (1582 metres) and Small Iremel (about 1400 metres). According to the old Indo-Iranian book “Avesta”, Mt. Iremel had the same importance as Mt. Olympus in ancient Greece. According to legends, Zaratustra reserved secret knowledge of humanity on the golden mountain “Iremel”. Trekking to the upper part of the mountain, we traverse different natural zones - deciduous forest, forest-tundra, coniferous forests and mountain zones.
Here you can feel the fragrance of forest herbs - from the base of one of these, the famous Bashkir balsams are manufactured. You can swim in the “water of life” - a mountain spring, and if you are lucky you can find the “gold root”, which is an analogue of the famous ginseng.

Physical Fitness: You should be ready to climb the mountain by foot (distance from the Tyulyuk to the top is about 10-14 km) with light rucksacks and carry moderate physical loads.
Recommended Equipment: Clothing to suit temperature range from –2ºC to +30ºC. Waterproof clothing, high gum boots, trekking boots, sun glasses, UV cream, repellents for mosquitoes.
Important: For participation in this travel you should have inoculation against encephalitis.

Program of tour
 

1 day. Arrival in Yekaterinburg. Meeting, transfer to the hotel. Receiving equipment. Sightseeing tour around the city. Free time. Dinner.

 2 day. Transfer to the village Tyulyuk (420 km). Lunch on the way. Accommodation in tourist centre in Tyulyuk village. Excursion around the village.

3 day. Climbing to Mt. Iremel - 1582 m (Mt. Malij Iremel – 1449 m). Lunch on plateau. Return to the Tyulyuk village. Banya (sauna, Russian Bath). Spend the night in tourist centre.

4 day. Excursion to the Bakty range. Lunch. Transfer to Yekaterinburg.
