Rafting the Zilim River
 

 

    Going by catamaran along the Zilim River is an active rest in the Southern Urals. The Zalim River starts in the Eastern slope of Zilmerdak mountain ridge and flows among picturesque landscapes of mountain Bashkiria. Unique rock slopes, lots of grottos, cave niches, caves, mountain springs, clean water and rich vegetation.

Short and dynamic hiking tours attract tourists when you may see lots of sights and have a rest during a short time. This route gives the possibility to combine rest and your favorite hobby- fishing. What can be more interesting than fishing from the catamaran and enjoy the sunset. What a wonderful fish soup cooked on fire!

Recommended Equipment:
Clothing to suit temperature range from –2ºC to +30ºC. Waterproof clothing, plates and dishes, high gum boots, trekking boots, sun glasses, UV cream, repellents for mosquitoes.
Important:
For participation in this travel you should have inoculation against encephalitis.

Program of tour
 

1 day. Tranfer by car or by bus to the starting place of the route- Tolparovo village on the Zilim River ( 500 km). Evening fishing. Accommodation: in tents at the bank of the river.

2 day.Catamaran or inflatable rubber dinghy preparations. Rafting( 12 km). Fishing during the route. Accommodation: in tents at the bank of the river.

3 day. Rafting to the Plakutchaya Rock(25 km).

4 day. Rafting to the Sostovy Bor station( 10 km). Fishing during the route. Evening fishing. Accommodation: in tents at the bank of the river.

5 day. Rafting to the Pobeda cave (10 km). Visiting Blue Lake- a gryphon and Snow Queen hack in the cave. Evening fishing. Accommodation: in tents at the bank of the river.

6 day. Rafting to Tash-Asty village (6 km). Packing rafting equipment. Tranfer by car or by bus to the Yekaterinburg( 600 km). Possible variant-returning by train.
